End Of An Era of the Day: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver have officially announced that they are separating after 25 years of marriage.
“This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us,” the couple said in a statement. “After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship.”
According to the LA Times, Shriver moved out of their shared mansion in Brentwood several weeks ago, but the joint statement wasn’t released until today “after questions were raised by The Times.”
The pair were introduced to each other by Tom Brokaw at a charity tennis tournament in 1977. They married in 1986, and had four children together.

This is sad. Divorce saddens me, especially after so long, especially after having so many children. When I saw Arnold talk a couple of months ago, he was so proud of himself for “marrying a Kennedy.” Pretty proud that he was an infidel, I guess. Bah.
